This is water and windproof and therefore provides genuinely perfect protection against the elements when they really start to overwhelm you on the mountain. To ensure that the material also remains permanently resistant to wet conditions, it has been given an additional PFC-free DWR (durable water repellent) coating. That said, the trousers are also breathable, meaning you won’t overheat during sweat-inducing action, and the mesh inner fabric in the top area also ensures the rapid wicking away of moisture and sweat. The Powder Town Pants can be combined with and worn alongside practically any winter sports jacket from Patagonia, as part of a combined jacket/trouser system.
